In the only initiative of its kind in the country, some of the most prominent representatives of the Massachusetts legal community are joining together again this year to urge Governor Patrick and the legislature to increase funding for the civil legal aid line item in the Commonwealth’s FY13 budget. The following letters will be posted upon their completion in spring 2012.

Managing Partners Letter
On January 23, 37 managing partners representing 35 Massachusetts law firms delivered a letter to the Governor urging him to increase funding for the civil legal aid line item. View the letter.

On January 23, the deans of eight Massachusetts law schools delivered a letter to Governor Patrick and legislative leaders, explaining that an increase in civil legal aid funding is necessary to improve access to justice in the Commonwealth. View the letter (pdf). |
