Walk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid
If you're an attorney in Massachusetts- either a solo practitioner or with a firm or corporation - you can participate in the Walk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid, an annual event that brings together hundreds of private attorneys from Boston-area firms to lobby state lawmakers on behalf of civil legal aid funding. If you are a law student, we could use your help with registration and directing participants. The 13th annual Walk to the Hill will be held in January or February 2012. Visit the Equal Justice Coalition Web site for more details or contact Pattye Comfort at pcomfort@equaljusticecoalition.org or 617-391-5633.

Professional Opportunities
Due to a consistent lack of resources, it is estimated that legal aid programs turn away nearly half of those eligible for service. To help reduce the severity of this shortfall, programs are always in need of skilled volunteers to donate their time and talents. There are a wide variety of opportunities available for law students, attorneys, mental health professionals, and others. Below are links to the "volunteer" sections of program Web sites.

If you are interested in volunteering for a program that is not listed below, please call the program directly (view the complete list of programs and contact information).
